Hi,
I configured my WinMX and i am able to connect and able to download some files, so connectivitity is not an issue. Also, just today of my files was able to upload also for the first time. The files that are red are looking for sources, but it never connects to download. Also, i get a few remotely queued ones. I have tried alternate sources, but to no avail. I am new to this, so not sure if my config is right or not.  I used the same ports that someone in this forum swears by. Any other suggestions on why my downloads are not going? I have included some snapshots of my ports. Thanks in advance!!!

I might want to add that i have been able to download a couple of files successfully earlier today, so it has happened.

The ones that downloaded ok are different files so the ones in red from my snapshots are still not downloading.

You might want to change the auto enter queue to a higher number ( right click the file and use the option there) this will increase your chances of getting in line  ....

You also might want to perhaps search the same file out with different users to increase your chances.... as the ones you have queued up are not gaining any sources probably meaning the people with them are either offline or have large queues and you are unable to join them due to your low queue settings.

ok. i tried that. Also, is the "remote queued" number going to decrease over time? it is like over 110 right now. if i wait until tomorrow, is it safe to assume it will go down for sure? how does this work?

you will gradually climb any remote queue as others leave it through either going offline, finishing their download, or completing it from another source, the trick with winmx is usually to be patient
