Hi All

Just to inform you a spammer is flooding rooms even though they are banned info as follows

¹ÐmZ ßì®Ð 001_64364 (84.9.*.*) Connection Refused (banned) 121 attempts

¹ÐmZ ßì®Ð 001_64364 (84.9.*.*) Connection Refused (banned) 87 attempts

both within minutes of each other on 2 seperate occasions can this person not read or do they like spamming the rooms they are banned in
i hear the same has been happening in other rooms also

i consider this type of spamming aimed at the admins of rooms since they are the only ones that will see the attempts

Yes Defender i have to agree to your post above same person and ip has been doing the same in mine for months now.
well he need not come here claiming the innocent to us.
Please dont be lead by this person into thinking he's innocent.
He also had the proxy mask on today again spamming rooms all over mx
username I spy563_43058 (Cable 22 files) has entered.

We Saw That Name in ours earlier today with a spam message

seems to me one way or another they have to spam whether its directly in the rooms or from outside the rooms with banned messages

For wmw admins feel free to move this post to another suitable location and i have started this post purely for information to other rooms no malice or malicious intent intended just purely information never will i post ips unless privatly asked

and for other readers of this post no intention in this posting is to cause trouble or harm in any way shape or form purely informative factual evidence - ips to coincide with wmw rulings of such said postings

I'm locking this thread too after seeing the fresh blood in the similar thread and I see no need to discuss this except a warning, this site is not a winmx court and not a place to encourage fighting among rooms.

The problem of spamming and clonning users is nothing new and I think that if the fights don't stop We'll reconsider our policy of allowing posts about this.

What's getting my gripe at the moment is why have a section of this forum called MXHOSTS. This is a place where people who host their own rooms have a small section to disscuss the likes as posted above. Anyone can apply to join the MXHOSTS section so long as you are a admin or host of a room on winmx, no matter how successfull your room. Its really a place for you to learn. Now why is this sort of stuff being posted outside of the MXHOSTS section, whats up, think you aint getting a audience in the mxhosts section.

Im tired of all this fighting now, posting spammers yes go for it, in the HOSTS section, not all over the main sections of the forum. If you arent a member of mxhosts, and want to be, PM one of the suprvisors and let us know. Leave this information for the right section, chat issues was never meant for this type of things, it was for getting help hosting, server problems, config issues, etc

Now i dont mean to blast information out the water, we all apreciate it when you post about morons doing stupid stuff in rooms. Usually they end up pretty quickly on other rooms bans before they even get their. Thats what the MXHOSTS section was for and is all about. Save the bickering that goes on sometimes from new users, at the best of times its damn off putting. Personally if i see another post of this type out the mxhosts section ill move it their myself, and ill warn you about it.
