I keep disconnecting

Hi All,

I have Windows XP Home with service pack 3 and my WinMX keeps reconnecting all the time.  Sometimes it is stable for a while other times it reconnecta every 5 mins or so.  I have a windows firewall and and running AVG and have added Winmx to both of these.  Please can someone help as it is impossible to download like this.

Which patch are you using? If your unsure on which patch your running you might want to try and reinstall winmx. You can get the most recent patch here https://patch.winmxconex.com/

I had the patch 3.4 and have now installed patch 3.0 !!!! dont know if that is right?  I did uninstall winmx and then reinstalled on Saturday with this version

95,98,ME,2000,XP,2003 Installers:[WinMX 3.54 WinMX 3.53 WinMX 3.31  Patch Only (I installed the first one 3.54 beta

Then I installed this patch

WinMX Patch Only/No Installer:    oledlg.dll

I have today installed the 3.0 patch  the one at the end of the first line When I got home from work today I had only been connected for 18 minutes then it went down again.  Last night I stayed connected for 6 hours - dont know what to do

hiya lady i think it may be the service pack 3 thats the problems I installed it when it first came out and had exactly the same problem, so for now i am sticking with service pack 2 did all this start to happen before or after u installed service pack 3?

Hi  Mostly after I installed service pack 3.  I heard that you cant uninstall it!!! I will try and uninstall it now cos after I installed it my expolrer 7 kept hanging as well and I was told to remove the add ons and toolbars -  which helped.  I am now using Firefox but when I click on the for help go to Winmxworld.com link,  internet explorer opens and takes me there I don't know how to disable it.

I am busy removing service pack 2 and will reinstall service pack 3 (if I can)  keep your fingers crossed

I just install pack3 for xp crash disconnect  what cant y do i did the same routine as the other but still time out?????
