Do we have an era limit or a time frame?

Well, to be honest the most unlikely choon I found on WinMX was The Singing Nun by Jeanine Deckers back in 1963! ..    :pray:   Well you did say "what your Nan listened to" lol  and that's one of them I remember vividly as an old vinyl 78 played on an ancient gramophone that my Uncle purpose built in the corner of their lounge. I searched it out of sheer curiosity and there it was!  :thumbs:
Just out of interest here's the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeanine_Deckers (not funny I know but certainly a song you wouldn't find anywhere!)

You will note "To date, "Dominique" is only one of two Belgian number one hit singles in the United States. (Technotronic's hit "Pump Up The Jam" reached number one in 1989)."  :lol:

I have to say, although now I spend most of my time on torrent sites.. you can find almost anything on WinMX and it never ceases to amaze me the stuff people share  :whistle:

I have collected a vast selection of music, old and new.. I've spent hours tracking down numerous albums that I flogged on vinyl years ago and to date WinMX hasn't let me down yet  :-D

i can already tell ya the streak is on MX

heres one to look for;

Ome Henk - Opblaaskrokodil (yes thats how its spelled... might need to copy/paste -- it translates to 'inflatable crocodile')

youve most likely heard this song as "french erotic film" in a 'fanmutation' shockwave flash video on the web a while back...

I don't need "weird" songs, unfortunately. I tried convincing a friend to start using WinMX a few months ago because he was looking for a bunch of songs that he could not find "anywhere". He gave the list to me of about 10 songs. I had heard of two or three of them, yet at the time I could not find a single one of them after searching a few times. (I do not use OpenNap)
Downloading is an addiction I do not want to give up.

@mac daddy;

"The Frog Chorus - Paul Mcartney" (aka 'we all stand together')

id like to thank you for that.... its been i dunno how many years since ive heard this... and back then i never knew who made it....

EDIT:

from the wikipedia;
Quote
We All Stand Together is a song by Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus. It was from the animated film Rupert and the Frog Song and reached #3 in the UK Singles Chart in 1984. Originally released June 1983...
(emphasis mine)

i kept wondering why in the back of my mind i thought there was an animated music video that went to it... and now i know why and where i heard it... lol!

EDIT (again):

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0auCDOERZyE

i -know- i either have (or had) this on VHS somewhere... tho i had the 'full version' of 'rupert and the frog song' not the shorter music video with paul in it...
