This version was never released publicly by Fede83.

Initially it worked only with the Hosts file (Mxpie), so I was thinking to communicate at all ... but to remove eagle has changed the server, thus making it as e-server, or free from any patch.

Now this version also works with the new WinMX community Patch

I wonder if this is the FXServ 1.3.10 Beta13 Wpn1.3.9 TimeWait corretto by Fede83 version,
which is never released,
next to that, there is no need to patch FXserver as you can enter a cachelist which only needs
to contain the DNS caches.winmxworld.com

so what dns has he used? wpc.no-ip.info ??? If so this oly points at one cache. and as has happened over the last few weeks, ie one cache it was pointed at going offline for a few days suddenly alot of people bombarded the help room wondering why wpcc, eserve and a few other bits and bobs stopped working. The best DNS by far is to use caches.winmxworld.net as it is always pointed at all available caches, meaning all tools continue to work. I hope this new fxserve is pointed at this next to useless free DNS that can be easily deleted by no-ip.com or could spend a considerable amount of time not pointing at any cache. Lets hope not hay i look forward to hearing how this new server is free of any patch.

I think you misunderstood it, deux, i.e it lost in the translation.

Let me try to translate the translation as I understand it,

this version initally only worked with hosts file (mxpie) but has now be changed to work with all patches, like e-serv does.
Free from any patch in this case means it's free in the sense that it's not bound to one solution, i.e. mxpie

Of course we still recommend using caches.winmxworld.net as it's a round robin of all available caches included in the community patch

I was going to try to let Eagle comment here, but just to let you all know what I am sure of about this, Eagle did set this server version to connect to caches.winmxworld.net.
Im not sure of what 'if any' other changes or which model this was originally, but He did this for a friend to use and its been making rounds.

Cool im glad that has been resolved, and im glad a new version is about for fxserver folks to have a better version. Shame fede decided not to release his sourcecode upon leaving.

I have only ust came accross this page, Has anyone got any feed back on this version of FX i am still using the 1.3.9 version so the config.txt is rather different not sure what needs altering if anything

look in fxserver.exe properties version file information, it would make it more easy to tell which version you have.

why modify it? the last beta was able to connect to primary connected winmx and list. and the one b4 that allowed you to enter whatever cache you wanted. so whats the point?

i did run a test with it, it looked stable, until it had been running 20 or so hrs, suddenly it kicked everyone out, except co-host & bot,
the reason in the log was "kicked for flooding" 30+ ppl in less than 15 seconds,
but the flood kick & kick for spamming was both OFF.

another room tested it also and found after around 30 hrs, it lost pple,
but as we tried to enter, we got "name already in use" until fx was closed & restarted,
the hostess couldnt even kick the names out, it just froze,

thing is, both of us use windows XP, but another hostess had the fx betta 13 on for 4 days on a Vista system with no problems,
so we need more ppl to test on Vista to see if it is the 1 server that Vista actually likes.

at bottom of page, look for FXServer 1.3.9 - 210606.zip for the stable one
or look for FXServer 1.3.10 beta 11- 151206.zip ffor the betta one

at top of config there's a language setting

This thread is for beta 13 wich was previously unreleased by fede.
It is not in the archives, and when it is added it will most likely (following the way the drac spin offs were done) be placed under eagles folder.

As max said though there is a language setting in the config file if you wish to use the version modified by Eagle.
