Should I download?

Hi

  I used to have winmx, and after reading that there was a temporary patch available I decided to wait until there was a better one, is this it?   Does winmx work again?   Is it safe?  Is it the same quality it once was?

I would download the patch, but for now I'm a little hesitant.........I read that vladd44 wants to shut it down or something.....should I wait a month, and see what happends, or should I download the patch today?  Is it possible for vladd44 to shut down the whole network, and what would happen if he did do that?

I would also like to mention after looking for almost a week I still can't find a program that fits into winmx's shoes.  Let's restore it back to it's original glory!

Okay ..I admit it I am partial to you already over your nic.. lol

Are we in a perminate state as far as patches are concerned .. Probablly not..we didnt expect this to happen to us.. you may have already read that WinMX didnt just change hands they where forced to shut down..we just sorta said.. um....NO.
So as you might imagine we had to scramble to get what we have..

Is WinMX working .. Hell ya..  

Vladd44 like this site offers a patch for WinMX, they are not trying to shut it down as much as they are trying to make it thier own.. we do not agree with this policy at all.. people love WinMX for what it is.. flawed or not.

THey cant turn WinMX off, the worst (which is bad enough) is splinter this network for thier own gains by making sure that users of one patch or the other are the ones that connect to thier peer caches.  This is not happening now, the caches are shared by all users.

Our campaign is to stop them going forward with this plan..thats it.
Are you safe?  Yes as safe as you ever where on this network.. its operating in the same fashion as it always has.  The only difference are the peer caches we used to connect before all this are gone.. The patches are to help your winmx find the new ones only.


Last but most important does another p2p fit WinMX's shoes.. Agreed .. Nope.. lol

So my advise is this. use the patch you have be it from this site or thiers.. install it and get on board and help us show the RIAA they cant have your WinMX..
