Can any other country top this percentage I wonder ?
http://www.zeropaid.com/news/9916/STUDY%3A+38%25+of+Swedish+Men+are+File-SharersAccording to a recent study, at the beginning of this year nearly 700,000 Swedes regularly used P2P file-sharing programs and services. It also noted that some 38% "More than a third of all men aged 16 to 24 used a P2P file-sharing program during the first quarter of 2008," said the report by Statistics Sweden, the government agency responsible for producing official statistics on Sweden.
"Among all surveyed ages the corresponding proportion is approximately one out of 10," it added.
Sweden, which has about nine million people, counted over 685,100 file-sharers during the first three months of the year, according to the study, which was based on a poll of 3,837 people between April 7 and June 9.
"The number of women using peer-to-peer file sharing is less than half than that of men," the statistics agency said, adding that among women aged 65 to 74 there were no users of the programs.
This is further good news as in some countries this percentage is enough to topple the government in any major vote, if we all work hard to encourage filesharing and beat back the wolves and monopolists who seek to chain culture they cant monetize, we may after all be able to regain some of the rights fought for by our ancestors and stolen by commercial stealth, keep up the good work folks and keep on sharing
