Just to let you all using RSWCS there are backdoor commands to killing your room and a user doesn't even need to be logged in to use them

/RCUKILLROOM

That command alone will drop your room like a bad habit!! I personally would advise in the end of its use.

/RCUKICK clears the user list.

Seems Richy had a lot of bugs to fix, lol.

Explains a damn lot. I think we can safely say Richie can not, and will not be trusted at WMW, Its a shame he has any sort of conenction with the rebellion metis site as i am quite fond of that place. I just hope they they wernt aware of his games

Do you know what is even more clever about all this, is the fact that non of the commands show up in the chat windows etc. It has me wondering what else is inside this server.

I think we can at this stage see why Ritchy cannot ever be trusted, he has once again let the community down with much talk of developing for the community when the reality was he was looking to destroy peoples chatrroms on a power trip.

Its a shame really that after further investigating their are at least 7 commands and one is so heartless and destructive that it deletes your config file, leaving a new one in its place saying you got owned in the config. So all that hard work and effort setting your room up is lost by some spotty kid playing god. I think many will agree with me that Richie is not someone that is pro winmx. I hope you enjoy your cold corner of the internet.

Oh and a final thing. could the pathetic admin who decided it would be "cool" to change my profile please return it to how it was!

As i said snick, it was TESTING config manipulation. It was a test feature that should have been commented out in the release!

Has anyone in wmw found that WCS crash bug yet? or is this a put down scheme to cover up wmw's inability to act on information given to them? too busy going through my binary than looking in the WCS source for a offered up bug? LOL

What a load of bollocks, you damn well no richie we have only put up two commands out the list their as the others i think are far more damaging than just loosing a few more users. The name I have added suits you perfectly and wont be removed. As i can post the commands for all to see here and let you try explain what each one of them has to do with a config editor. You are a liar richie and a threat. You have been brought out after trying to scare winmx users into using your software for the vested intrest of wanting to ruin peoples projects. You will not be trusted here and i imagine you will find you have little friends here.

Its clear to anyone with eyes that Ritchy posted that announcement today only after being caught trying to backdoor folks, as Snick points out the evidence is in the code for all to see, "you have been owned" , only a complete idiot would trust using RSWCS, a program that still looks 90% WCS and 10% string editing by ritchy.

If you look guilty Ritchy its because you are, now run along and stop wasting the time of those really helping the community.

If anyone wants to look over the supposed super WCS bug that ritchy was told about 2 weeks ago then feel free to look over line 461 of handler.h
Of course only ritchy knows about this "super bug" so I swear all who read this to silence

Unlike Ritchy no one here has claimed to be working on WCS nor renaming it to call it WMWWCS in fact we have no interest in it at all really besides the fact it is used by chat folks and thus we are honour bound to help them as a winmx help site, this we will do.

Ritchy is now banned from this forum for rudeness, lying and general stupidity

what about switching to ES or your own ZCS (i think you wrote ZCS... right?)

or better yet........ doesnt winmx itself have a builtin chat server? why does no one seem to use it?

Yeah the config of ZCS looks like a lot like WCS and it was written by me... It's just I don't wanted to do some publicities

not wanting to too ones own horn is understandable... (i didnt even know ZCS had a WCS-like config.... ive never used chat servers) but i wasnt sure if ZCS stood for zenar chat server or something else.... seems like you get an alphabet soup of chat server 'labels' when getting a room list X_x

and i have a funny feeling some folks who thought they were using a bugfixed version of WCS are about to find a completely missing room...

line 461 is for (int x=0; x<ClientCount; x++) and i cant see any bug there

i seen him crash test a room with it so ya mite wanna look elsewhere for it in the handler.h file. no clue where coz im not a coder all i kno is that its an overflow buffer thingy with the word replaces. but u kno that already

I am of the opinion your looking at a diff version of WCS src Wench019, the version that was looked at was 1.8.4 windows but I,m sure if you look for strings containing #NEWLINE# its not hard to see the area in the file.

but its not a #NEWLINE# bug, its a text replacement bug so it wouldn't affect the newlines
