D/loading but no Time Left displayed - can anyone help ?

Hoping that someone has experienced this - and has a quick answer or solution :

1. A file that I am d/l has been having issues with file mismatch.  I used Trunk and stripped off 512K from the file.
2. The file has restarted d/l - BUT - it doesn't look any data is being downloaded - there is a speed / amount - BUT no Time Left is displayed.  The number of Bytes in NOT increasing.

Is this file 'stuffed' ??
Will it ever get the Time Left displayed ?

Trimming the file does not appear to work.

thanks

I think I know your problem :)
the file you are trying to download is simply too large for winmx to handle..
what is the file size in bytes
if it is much greater than 2.147.000.000 bytes
sorry to tell you but you will never complete the file on winmx
maybe able to import the file from winmx to emule if you can find exact file there ?

oh yes, and if size is not the issue, and is simply mismatched ..
yes trim the file.. but after trimming.. clear file from download window..
and reload it by 'load incompletes' or from an already open 'find alternates' search or a browse
and then time should show right..
Cheers

thanks for the quick replies - i'll give it a few more tries - see if I can get to resume again WITH the 'end time (estimate) showing

(FYI - size of the file was only 1.8gig)

512 K might not be enough to trim after a file mismatch.
You better try to trim some Mb, how much depends greatly on how the mismatch occurred and on the size of several buffers.
10- 15 Mb is not unusual to get the file going again.
You can tell if you are going again when the unfinished filesize in the transferwindow grows.

it might also be a good idea to check if the person you are trying to download the file from has the file complete himself or maybe just the bytes you allready have
