Help: ive have tryed 1.9, 1.7, 1.4, 1.8, of plusmx copied patch to all & still wont connect..
Any help will b wonderful THx

PlusMX is a plugin for WinMx 3.53-3.54 and won't work stand alone

hi there,

if you install plusmx and place the oledlg.dll and oledlg.ini from the comunity patch in the folders mx-1 >>mx10 it should connect just fine zabba

and if you allready have done what i said in the previous post and it still does not connect the keep in mind that it uses there ports by default that may need to be opened or allowed through firewall and router

PlusMX is a program made by Emulator that allows multiple WinMXs open at one time. You can find it http://www.emuware.org/?p=view&type=0&id=20

I might be mistaken but .. the last time I tried PlusMX it only connected properly with the "host file". Also, I don't recommend opening, what 20 or 22 different ports in your router / firewall as that might cause connection issues. I guess it depends on what you intend to use it for..

PlusMX will connect if you pop the ws2_32.dll in each plusmx folder, it connects fine, 1st 1 will connect primary, 2nd and so on connect secondary

because of all the different opinions on connecting this, i went back in and tested this, you don t need ws2_32 also hostfiled in not needed, ... oledlg.dll and oledlg.ini added in the 10 mx folders works just fine

the problem i encountered was that my protection keeps removing and deleting the startup exe this is probably because the "trick" that plusmx uses to start more than one is viewed as a hack by one or more protection software

maybe two old older posts i made on WMW could be helpfull so i ll quote them here:
