I have got to admit Windows Vista is a pain in the ass, and always will be. The structure of it was horrible and the coding had major bugs and glitches. Shame I can't find me Vista disk, i could have installed it on my machine. lol Not.

1st thing i ever do upon setting up vista or windows 7 is activate the full admins account and use that ... saves a lot of fookin about later on when you got most your system set up and it messes about trying to install progs etc.

Thanks so much everyone!  So my switch to windows 7 will be a really good thing????  Hp mailed my upgrade kit today!  Did they lie when they said I could customize and add programs and my upgrade to the windows 7 will not cause me to lose all I did????

That is true. The switch from Vista to Windows 7 will give you lots of freedom using your computer. You wont have to deal with all the annoying UAC pop-ups.

I Would defiantly recommend the upgrade from vista.
Any problems with windows 7 just give us a shout in the PC section on the site here Jimy ... there are already some tips there for you to browse over

Sheesh... Win7 and/or Vista sounds like a real pain.
I think I shall stay with quaint olde fashioned 2k and save my money for more useful things, like real estate and beer.  :D

I have had Windows 7 since the testing days. The only problem I ever had for it was driver related, and that was in the beta days. Now most drivers have been mad to work with Windows 7.
