remotely queued xxx tells you you've entered the list at the bottom of their tranfer window in the same way ppl enter yours, xxx tells you how many are ahead of you before you'll start ..
the auto enter queue tells winmx what the maximum queue you'll wait in is, this defaults to 20, but can be changed to various values up to 100 allowing you to get into longer queues if you wish, you often find you have to raise this to a high number if you often look for movie files, as being large ppl sharing them tend to develop long queues..
the search for alternates does try to find other users with the same file, but you have to select to download them manually, in most cases the AFS setting is more help, this causes winmx to periodically look for itself & join queues for any it find (subject to your AEQ setting) setting this to a lower value will make winmx check more often (but it won't make peope with the file magically come online)
