It's nice to see you keep throwing others under the bus to satisfy your own gain. Even if we knew the identity of the attackers the only thing that would change would be putting a face in the equation. That would do nothing to speed up the process of implementing your new patch to fix the attacks.

Exactly why are you still on here acting as a Supervisor? It seems your stepping down was just a way to remove yourself from the situation of abusing the blocklist while in official "power". Now that you are "stepped down" you can just do it behind the scenes.

The abuse was not coming from the outside users. It was coming from within the staff! I am sick and tired of other admins doing whatever they want, and getting away with it. There are plenty of admins here that should have had their abilities taken away, but yet they still have them.

I do not care to be admin anymore. I am sick of all the drama that has to go along with it. I come on here to have a good time, and so did many others in the good-old-days, but I guess we have forgotten what that is. I have enough shit to deal with in my own real life, I don't want to come here and have the same shit.

You have never come to me about anything that this network needed help with. I would see your posts on the forum asking for help, and I would either be the first to respond, or send you a private message. I would also be the first one turned down for anything. Why is that? I know many users on this network trust me, because I am honest with them. Honesty is key when you are trying to work with users into keeping a network alive. WinMXWorld started hiding too much from the regular users, and I was also out of the loop on lots of things. Would have been nice if all the admins were on the same page, something I have been saying for many years.

As a WinMXWorld admin, respect is requested, but you need to realize that you need to show it first. Talking down to users is not a great way to show it. What you built a website to help many users of the netwrok, thats cool! How many of them have you pissed off? How many of those that really helped the network in the beginning are still around today? How many developers are actively making addons for WinMX? That number has decreased so much over the last few years, that its scary.

I want the best for this network, not this group. This group has forgotten its original standings.

I am not looking for your forgiveness, nor do I want it. You may forgive me, but this site will continue to be run the same way, without any thought of what it might do to the network, and the users. That makes me sad, but what can I do about it? I have tried to get things to change here quite a few times, but it never has, and I feel it never will.

I should be the one wishing WinMXWorld luck in the future, because they way things are going, there doesn't seem to be one.

I would love to see a cease fire so some work can get done.  I don't want to just see a new patch. I want to see a new client, and new network if that's what it takes.  I don't care who or which group makes the client! I don't care if each group makes its own version of the client. A matter of fact i would prefer to see Ren, and WMW both development their own version of the client. I don't care if the new client is completely compatible with the old one as long as its like WinMx.  I know for a certainty that if some of the protocols are not changed then WinMx will die anyways. There's no reason to continue to use a horse & wagon to travel across the frontier anymore when you have an automobile to accomplish the same job much more efficiently. I am not saying WinMx needs to be turned into a torrent client. I don't want that at all. I'm just saying it seems to me that too much concern is being placed on the goal of making sure the new client is compatible with the old protocol. We don't need a wagon wheel! We need a tire! The new client has to be made IPV6 compatible, and other improvements and security fixes will have to be made if WinMx is going to stay alive. Anyways ...getting back to what i was saying, and what i've been saying since i joined WMW. Each group should work on their own version of the client, and as long as the network protocols are shared between groups the clients should be compatible.  Here is a great example of what i'm talking about -http://www.emule-mods.de/  I would love to see 2 or maybe 3 versions of the WinMx client as long as it remains spyware free, and security is of top priority for each group. Regardless the attacks on the network, and all the fighting is causing nothing to get done.  I really miss having WinMx to find my favorite media! At the rate progress is going I will have learned C++, and C# and have build my own client. In other words the work is never going to get done. I hang out in Ren's room, Sarah's, and WMW world. I many times wonder if users from one group is going to dislike me for also being friends with users from another group. I may not have the same views or get along well with everyone in that room, but I don't Judge the entire room or group by the actions of one individual!  That brings up another point. Lets stop referring to that's another Ren or that's WMW for you. I have friends in both groups, and I should be made to chose one group or another. That's childish.  I also see a lot of childish behavior, and harsh treatment for no good reason. Silver Stripes said he was leaving the community, and hanging it up for good yesterday.  I always found him or her very helpful! I hated seeing Stripes go!  Stripes always made sure my questions were answered, and was usually the first to respond to my questions. Stripes new WMW was here to provide support, and was here to service the network.

I don't feel its this site that's the problem I do feel its folks expectations that are the real concern, there are other Winmx sites but the attackers only target here, why do you think that is ?

We both know theres often little time to react to fast moving situations and its usually the supervisors swinging into action behind the scene to remedy problems , theres little thought given at such times to inclusion of others, this may be frustrating for you but its certainly not malicious, one of the first rules a supervisor reads is to self organise and form groups to better deliver a solution when problems hit and as sometimes some of the relevant information is of a private or sensitive nature the thought of bringing in other folks is not in anyones minds, that's really something we cant fix and folks have to wait till they reach supervisor status, we have some good ones and some not so good ones over the years but all have delivered great service and for that the entire community is I'm sure appreciative.... however not all are happy we are so popular and some groups seek to make petty attacks simply to boost their own public visibility thus being the most popular site we have to deal with such folks and much of that also is above the level you can see so I can only say its unfortunate but you doing your work in the chats and on the site free up those supervisors to in turn deal with such tasks thus we rely on you as much as you in turn rely on us in emergencies and times of disarray

Its not perfect, one further point you make is not knowing what goes on in all the sections we host here and of course there are many small groups for specialist sections as this has made it easier for folks like peer cache operators to speak directly with cache hosts and also self organise, much has been done to make the whole place as democratic and yet efficient as possible as like yourself we do all have lives to lead outside MX.

My point was back a long time ago 3 folks ran the site a vote was taken and KM and Me Here voted to take on new staff I voted against that, then later on we had a separation of site and room staff I voted against that also, once again I was outvoted so whilst I do know you have felt excluded its beyond the right of any single supervisor to make arbitrary changes its been done here democratically and like it or not we all accept a valid vote and like yourself we are all here for fun, its just much of our fun time is taken up by trolls and timewasters currently, so even at that level there is much the same for you as for us, finally I have not been running this site for a long while now but my technical acumen is helpful at this time and also I,m pretty good at getting our message across even to those that have no wish to hear it, you may not like this character GS but hes simply a user the same as yourself and will go back to being more low key when we have a viable solution to the current problems and we are not under attack on all fronts, currently we are and thus I may be terse and not as polite as usual but in nearly all cases if users are polite to me I will respond with politeness back, that's me and I haven't changed, respect and trust begets respect and trust.
