How do I connect my channel to a website so people can chat via web browser instead of the winmx app or chat client? thanks for any suggestions or comments.

The above required a program called the WPNList to create a list of chats for folks to choose from to join

KM updated Nushis to work on his site back in the day:

however the frontcode closure saw the progran unable to connect to the net as the IP addy was changed

Not sure where that version points to but that was the fixed version back in the day.

Hey. I've read all this. but this is all greek to me. is there like a tutorial on it? because I'm not sure how to do it. or the code I need to connect my winmx channel to a webchat. any help or comments or suggestions is welcome. thanks Camlan

looks like you would need access to a windows web server with php on it.... i'll let ghost do the tutoring...

I suppose we can look at the basics, do you have a web server of the sort Stripes suggested to host the web-to-chat program on Camlan ?

If you do then we can look at whats next and thats likely to be the WPN list side of things as that creates the chat room list that then gets shown to the web side user, a lot of sites dont bother with this and have a fixed address box to their own room, the normal winmx room hash is used of course.

The person in the chat room has a good grasp of whats required, if you hit any snags drop us another line and we can work out how to resolve it, I think it will be all good however

hahaha. No I learned about winmx through friend of mine. and he gave me his stuff he use to use to host his chat. He use to be on winmx a long time ago back in like 2001 - 2008. He said he remembers when it shut down in 2005. I hosted a chat on here around 2 years ago for a year. I wanted to bring it back and this time I wanted it done correctly and better then before and I want a webchat to get more people to come in and if I can get the interested in winmx again that would bring it back in popularity. That's the goal anyway.

Who's permission do I need to add a download on my site for WinMX, Ouka Chat Client, and WPCC client? I would like to add them to my site for download along with my webchat. is that ok? Or do I need someone's permission? Thanks any suggestions or comments are appreciated! Cam!

Technically a programs author could ask that their work be taken down unless they have released it as open source, however I am not aware of any real life issues with any of the software you have listed, they are on many sites already.

Is there a program to use in my channel just for logging? Because I've tried my Robo it will not log...I've tried bendmx it will not log. So have they made an app just to log a channel? Thanks guys! Cam
