i would like to say something from a "normal" winmx users point of veiw. all we would like is a patch and a winmx that works as well as we can expect. i am not sure i understand the polotics behind this thing between pie and winmx world ( vladd whoever) we are grateful for everything that has been done to keep winmx alive. its my second home, my escape im a single mom with 2 young kids and this place is where i go for advice as well as the best downloads etc

i would love to help in anyway i could. if only to explain what the regular users need to know :)

i would like to see one fix for winmx and everyone working together againt the common enemy. We all want the same things in principle its just all agreeing and moving on together. I would also like to see winmx encrypted with Rc4 or better to help the many users now being hit with traffic/packet shaping from their isps. if a patch was released with encrypted connection then we could all use it and have a better safer network for a start and more people will use winmx for it as u may not realise just how many winmx users are now suffering traffic shaping from their isp, look through forums and visit chat rooms on mx there is loads suffering and thus leaving mx as they are stuck with their isp and cannot afford to pay to get out of the contract. PLEASE work together to one solution and fix for mx and lets get it encrypted. Just my opinion on the way ahead

As im sure KM will/has allready pointed out encrytion is already in place and makes no difference at all, after all whats to stop the Riaa simply using Winmx just like the rest of us? We need to get past this idea that any further encrytion will make any difference, it wont.

sorry nobby i was not thinking about the RIAA i was thinking about the many people who use or now use to use winmx but cant because their isps are using traffic shaping and making winmx useless if not impossible to use, the link i posted is used by a torrent client to get around traffic shaping by isps. Km has pointed our a few times in another thread that its not viable for mx but i thought i would just add it in as there may be another alternative that comes along

Asha all versions of MX have that flashing light, best thing to do if you want a version on a pc is to go here
