The RIAA with threats of lawsuits is who broke WinMX

And I say again...

WinMX is a completely legal program. The supreme court ruled that a p2p network could not advertise copyright infringement.

No one can say that WinMX developers in ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM have ever made a profit from advertising WinMX.

For that same reason they dont have the funds it would take to go to court either ...

I hate to say it but I'm glad winmx is dead. The reason is the leech hacks that are out there for it that make winmx not a sharing client but a leeching one.

yes if you copy and paste a room name into your filer or an ip:port you can enter a room via Winmx..

Good news I guess. If your usual room addy is posted in here, you can enter it in the room search and click join, even if you've no connection, and get in. There's no browsing, sharing, or PM, but at least we don't have to lose our friends

well like the RIAA the BPI(UK's Equal To RIAA) are now prosecuting individuals in the UK the only posssible way is find A breach in The DATA PROTECTION ACT 1998 am sure that there is a breach and am studying along with a legal friend to find it
