i've never had any problem connecting to winmx,but today it just says 'connecting" when i try to connect with secondary or primary,is winmx down?

At the moment the WinMX Group caches and site are offline, this is because of a decision by the host KM to take them offline. As for why thats not my place to say as I dont know his exact reasoning. For now we are working on getting other caches online and systems in place for cacheless connections.

We will be uploading a hosts file with the known working caches on it, as soon as thats available or more information is available i'll let you know.

Me too.... I tried a couple of times connecting today but I can't connect. Please help..... A while ago,I was able to connect to winmx but after an hour,my connection stopped.....I am really hoping that winmx won't die again just like it happened some years ago.

Download and install this hosts file.

Unrar it, deposit the contents into your C:\Windows\system32\driver\etc folder and restart MX

Let me guess - You need people with Primary Connections to run with no UL/DLs to help out. Like PIEPatch before. OK buy me.

ok i didt find out till this morning

i am still connected using the wmw patch
i was still connected when i heard about it
hopefully i dont have to reconnect
.........
