Hi §þéç5®,

Sounds like your having a time of things..

Need to be clear on a few things here. When you made the most recent changes you lost connection for WinMX completely?

The yellow not connecting can be a bit confusing as this can happen with the initial 'light' for the main connection of WinMX and yellow connecting is also what you will see when you are attempting a transfer, both upload and download.

Can you tell me if your WinMX is green on the newtorks page?

Lets get a few details from you as 1.9 is a bit more than a just a patch like previous releases  :)

Ok are we talking a fresh install or repair of an existing one ?
what operating system are you using ?

Does the WinMx app start ok and if so is it just blinking yellow waiting to connect ?

Also could you remove any rules for this app from your firewall so it will ask you to allow it again as any previous WinMx rules may well be blocking a new install from successfully reaching a cache.

Do you have a router as you may previously have allowed special ports that are no longer the ones you have in WinMx settings, its worth a check if you do.

Hope to hear from you soon  :)

Guest go here and download the Patch Version 1.9

https://www.winmxgroup.com/Install-1.9.exe

Make sure that when its done downloading the size is 1.3MB, then install and restart your WinMX.

I'm getting a corrupt file message when trying to instella filel, also, if WinMX works, IE and any ther brwser  or programs that depend on them and or use port 80 (HTML) will not work. If These affected programs work WinMX does not. MSN Messenger is not longer working also.

Are you running the IE7 component ?

This has been and will cause browser problems with other programs that use the browser and its not confined to just WinMX  :?

What file is coming up as corrupt ? If its the patch redownload it till it shows 1.3mb apprx as the size, then you have it all.

im running mx from ur 1.9 patch, everything is sort of ok. downloads and uploads no worries at all. the only thing that is really annoying me now is that i now lose connection at random intervals. im using a BT 205 voyager router, and after many an hour spent on the phone to BT blaming them, they finally fitted a new line. But the problem is still on going any suggestions or help will be appreciated

Thanks guys!!!!!!

By loosing connection do you mean the internet connections or just WinMX at random intervals?

Just to let you guys (and gals!) know, I was on WinMX 3.22 (!), W2K and it gave up on me out of the blue, hanged on the yellow light.

I downloaded the file you suggested https://www.winmxgroup.com/Install-1.9.exe run it once and off I go searching and up/down-loading happily!

Thanks for the great work!
