Swapper your 100% correct in saying that it should be stopped.  That I agree with, however your taking some of  the things said out of context a bit.

Let me once again make our position clear.

There is a right way and a wrong way to go about getting these types of users and abusers of illegal child porn off of the WinMX Network.  

It is not the place for an individual user to decide that they do not like the content of a room, or the users of that room.  After all as Ghostship pointed out in another area some of these rooms could easily be sting operations set up by the correct authorities to get the culprits, also sending them into hiding can also make it more difficult for the authorities to get them.

It is however all of our responsibility to make the right decisions in reporting these individuals as we come across them for the proper authourities to investigate.  Which is the entire point that I have been trying to make through this entire thread..

a couple of people have said that my reference to sponge bob trivialises child porn. No, it does not, I was making a point about how THIS system should be operated, NOT that child porn is just one more "lifestyle choice" that should be tolerated, and it pisses me off that it gets twisted that way. This whole thread has rapidly degenerated from one about whether WinMX should deploy destructive tactics against specific users who trade in specific material to an argument about the rights and wrongs of child porn (like anyone has said child porn is a good thing, ffs!).

I don't have no kids, but for reasons of my own that I decline to share, child abuse in ALL its forms boils my f****** blood. BUT that does not mean that DOS or any other form of attack is the right way of combating it. As mehere and others have pointed out, those rooms might actually be used by child protection authorities to lure these "people" in, and collect what they need to prosecute. That is a standard and increasingly successful tactic, can anyone here actually say that they KNOW that these sick rooms are not being manipulated by the authorities? I think not.

This argument seems to have gone far enough, there are legitimate and effective ways of dealing with people in trade in this s*** and DOS and all the implications of that is not one of them, not on this system. That was all I saying, enough.

I think Toxic and others have made perfectly clear that we dont have a problem with you reporting these rooms to the proper authorities.  

I for one have read this very carefully.  It seems that its you that doesnt see that there is a difference between DOS attacking them and reporting  them.

Several of us have stated its not them being gone we have a problem with, and have agreed with your goals, not your intentions.  If you read back through your own posts it sounds more and more like your fighting to convince folks that sort DOS attack activity should be ok...Its not anymore ok then them sharing the child porn in the first place.
