So now you're suggesting that neither myself or Merlin choose not to keep up with the cache blocklist? I only found out by accident yesterday that new entries were added and Melins still fails for one of the entries. I "get" that we all have our issues but something like this is considered important (to me anyways).I guess you think that since I'm an outcast that I don't deserve these kinds of updates and why? because you think because I don't run Community caches that mine is irrevelent. Well you might be surprised to hear that about 100 users contacted me after I pulled the plug about my cache so undermine what I'm doing. I really don't know where this goes from here but.. I am considering removing all cache blocks that aren't exactly clear what they even are...
That's your choice but I will hold you responsible for any increase in flooding as I do Sabre, its your own and Merlins selfish choices to operate caches for your small user groups when they could be helping take some of the load from the main users group, this is why we have a system of redundant domains here so anyone thinking of playing god with the users will not be able to, you stating that you shut 100 users from the network is not something to be proud of, I would be ashamed if I did that, and it shows just why I said no one person should be in charge of running the caches or connecting domains and our current system ensures that.

I have talked to Piney about helping with community caches. I have a cache status page for my own personal use .. [link removed, no access I guess]Please don't give that out as it's only for personal use. So are caches needed? Maybe some new caches from the U.S. would be helpful? I'm always willing to help out as I told Piney but he's said yes and then never set anything up. I'm not the kinda person to sit around, if something needs to be done I get it done now.So let me know what I can do. Obviously I'm capable of running a cache. I suppose you wouldn't want to use the indexer though. So maybe get one with my ip added. I have a second ip not in use also. All I would need is a little help on setting it up.If you don't need help then forget this message and let me know if you do in the future. This attack is a good example of when the community should come together to deal with it I think.
