WinMX is far from dead, work on the client is constant and it will be released when the developers feel it's ready for the general public.

Now its clear what "Joanne"'s agenda is we dont have to waste any quality time assisting her or answering any questions, that wasnt the case before so relax and let the footstamper make some noise, its often informative to see a child learning the hard way that being rude and obnoxious gets them no where in grown up life.

the release date is when Easter and Pentecost falls on the same day.
you seem to have time on hand and there are nifty calender programs on the internet
do us all a favor and go find that date for us and don't report back until you found it or when the new client is released

I wouldn't ordinarily put my oar in the water and make a comment but I can't help but think that, even though this Joanne person has behaved in a trollish manner, some of the comments directed at 'her' are over the top and could be offensive to more than that one person.

You are of course correct Trestor, We are a strong community thus far and so while "Joanne"'s words might cause annoyance they are in reality water off a ducks back and we do'nt have to stoop as low as she does to make a point.

Lets all play nice please friends so we can all hold our heads high when "Joanne" shows up at any time.

Please don't pretend to yourself that I have insulted or abused you "Joanne", its a purposefully forgetful mind that ties the words of others to my words and then makes some self serving pronouncement based on a jumble of both, you have exposed that folks are working on the new client which I'm happy to confirm, you have also exposed your anti-winmx agenda, something that you will have to live with on your conscience, you have my sympathy for your obviously unfulfilled life.

Do you see it yet Joanne? We are not your enemy. Why do you fancy yourself ours? What is there to "expose"? Yes, as GS said, people are working to build a new client for you and me. You can still play a positive part. Start an Opennap server, as Einsteinus suggested or a WinMX chat room. If you have a room going, pm me with the room name and hash.

Perhaps you have forgotten what WinMX is all about, its a place we all came together to share and partake in all sorts of material be in music, video, literature or even simple fellowship with other human beings, I bear you no grudge in having your fun but I do feel that you have lost your way, so make all the fun you want and in your own way be happy as we too shall be in the near future.

Some things are too good to allow them to be simply lost.

It might be because I'm one of the more active posters here Stripes and its traditionally fallen to me to deal with Trolls and put our side of any situation, but I agree it would be really great if folks got chatting again as a lot has changed over the past few years and a vibrant discussion would help solidify the direction the community wish to take, otherwise we may all end up fragmenting at some stage, always a matter of concern and one that's unnecessary.
