winmx v3.53+ can still connect to any wpn chatrooms.  you can't connect to wpn, search or browse, or get a channel list.  but you can join chatrooms from your favorites list or by cut and paste from a text list.

All chat clients can join the rooms. You just need the full channel name like TEEN       EXTREME       TEEN_533EAB43413B

pip and sabre and tons of other people are currently working hard to making a new peer cache. Stay tuned   we might just get winmx back!

My attempts show 172.212.87.141:8888  and myhost.shacknet.nu:3456 are not linked to other servers, at least not at the moment.

And the www.winmxunlimited.net opennapserver webpage doesn't load..  troubles getting the linkups to work?

Just to let you all know that METAL HEADS_F14F9FD41A2B will remain online for the foreseeable future. For those who use the MHAmp plugin, development on it will still continue. I will post any further updates to the situation here.

FUCK THE RIAA.I can't believe they shutdown WinMX cos of threats from the RIAA, but like people were saying they can't afford to pay for a law suit by the RIAA so they shutdown the WPN servers.
I'll be sticking around tho until the official death of MX.
Until then I'll still visit the rooms i check out on MX & keep using OpenNap.
