My internet connection currently is 56K (damn you Telstra!!) and I am not sure if I can use OpenNap with such a slow connection. Is it possible to use OpenNap with 56K or is it not possible?

I'm devestated

Just when i finally find a great place to share music they shut it down :roll: I thought it was just me that couldnt connect ... to all those ppl that shared thier files with me i ty from the bottom of my heart ... it allowed me to see videos of country music not available in oz ... hopefully someone can find a solution to this debacle & give us users what we want .. FREE MUSIC & VIDEOS ..

First it was napstar .... then msn stole FREE CHAT from Australia ... now this

THIS HAS BEEN PASTED AROUND ALOT OF WINMX ROOMS JUST WANTED TO KNOW WHATS GOING ON PPL ARE WORRYING THAT THEY ARE GOING TO GET CAUGHT DOING THIS -----------> Okay guys. Here's the scoop. If you have used the Winmx patch and are back on there, GET OFF. The RIAA is caching the ISP addresses. Frontcode saw this coming in advance, and starting moving things about. The short of it is, is they are moving offshore. They are moving to the Cayman Islands, and when they are settled, there web page will be active again. Can't really reveal where i got the info, but it is already starting to slowly leak out. If you want to do a search on it, will probably start surfacing in the next couple of days. Just wanted everyone to be safe, and when i heard, and realized that some were starting to head back, realized i should say something.

Yea, thats some paranoid individual spreading his paranoia to others...

Theres one in every crowd. I have already addressed this issue however, I am sure its buried somewhere in posts....

The WinMX Network is just as secure as its ever been. The way this network is built there is not storage of users activities. And as i said before...

I would love to see them spend the money it would take to prove that my IP was involved in any way of any thing but chatting and downloading my friends vacation pictures. After all.. my secondary to your primary to that another secondary and so on......

i used WinMx for ages after KaZaA got hit. But now they've got to WinMx now as well? Damn!! the only reason we were using winmx or anything of the sort is becuase buying it is soo damn expensive. O well guess i'll jus find another program or use open nap.
