Hi all, been having some unwelcome room pests recently, they drop by and pm the rooms users with messages like this

I have asked around and it seems like they have been doing this to others as well, I wont mention the room name as I see no point in allowing anyone to gain from this activity, but just wanted you all to be aware if this is happeneing to you your not alone and to set up a bot to kick on PM as I have.

PS: I logged the IP 84.x.x.x. range a few times now so keep eye open for this one.

PPS: If you want to add any more or let us know if you've been affected leave out the IP's, names of person and room name, we dont want them to have more visitors to bring their numbers up

I,m sure none of us want to see this sort of activity spread, the most annoying part for me is the alleagtion of child porn trafficking, this is one of the worst things to accuse ppl of, lets hope these lamesters slip up and we can shame them into apologising.

Sure is buddy real irritating as well.

Those pms dont help us good guys of mx build our rooms one bit and puts off new users

just like to add that as a host on winmx I also have had the same pests visit my room,
I wish they would slip up , I dont appreciate getting the above pms as Defender listed , the accusation
is awful, and would love to know who it is and what fun they are getting out of it.

I know the room was not named, and I agree with that, but has anyone gone to that room and asked if they are behind it. Sometimes user do things like this to anoy the admin of the room, because they have been banned etc. You may find that the admin of that room know who you are talking about and have that person banned by ip.

just another bunch of desperate idiots playing games ··º)([¥])(º·· Defender ban their ips/names and perhaps set a bot or two in your room list to kick ban any pm spamers
place a warning in the room ( perhaps in your welcome message) though asking people to ask b4 pming anyone though (save regs & innocents from getting banned)
perhaps also place a warning in the room of whats going on
personally i wouldn't join any room that pmd me weather it be crap like this or any other msg telling me to join there room as good rooms have no need for these tactics they rely on reputation and word of mouth & let their files do the advertising

ive gots bots trying to ban them ive also put most of the names they use as a blocklist in fx configs
but as fo banning ips bit difficult when they using proxy

Our room has not recieved the same thing, but other rooms i park i have recieved the same pm's. I park in defenders room also and have recieved the pm's the user is forever changing there username and ip changes each time also. but always uses that rooms tag.

i have seen some nasty PM's to my members, i did visit the room that was shown in their PM's
they are ware of this and their names & room is being cloned,
3 of their members names with the same IP tried to enter the room i host for a friend, but in the actual room the 3 members have totally different IP's & one was even a no-ip dj radio thing,
so that shows how smart or rather dumb the cloner is,
the other room did apologise to anyone having these nasty PM's.

The lastest in the on going attack on us will not get our room to shut down Im sorry to say as the length of time you have been trying the more people become aware that MNO are niether cloners or spammers and to all rooms that have suffered at the hands of these low lifes Im sorry but as you all know we are trying our best to find out who is doing it but please understand that we to have lifes outside of mx and cant always be in the room to make you all aware of what is happening every hour of the day. That is why I decided tonight to post this to let as many rooms know at once that there is a clone going around as many rooms as possible trying to get you to think that pm's are been sent by members of Movies New And Old.We are hopping that it gets resovled one way or another as soon as possible.

And I would like to say A big thankyou to all that have helped and supported us throughout this attck :O)

This situation is getting beyond a joke people on proxy servers cloning decent room hosts and making suggestions of child porn about other room hosts,
I personnaly wish they would grow up and get a life and stop sending malicous pms, if they got a problem be big and confront dont hide behind a proxy server !!!!!!!!!!!

Hope you get them defender dont think i have had them in my room but i can say i've had the pms. and lots of them.
there's no place on mx for ppl like this. im willing to help in anyway i can to bring this matter to an end.
